did you try to install with the help of this file (second paragraph):
Guide 7.0 and 8.0 setup fix for Vista and Windows 7 and 8

[I have gone back to WIn 7, but I beleive to remember that - for me (WIn 7 64 bits) - Guide 8 run on WIN 10].
