May have fixed it myself.
But I keep far away from the "click to download updated Comet data and add it to GUIDE" link
I had read Bill's explanation that the link at MPC went dead.
Seems to work for some?
Only way I was able to get correct display of the missing Comets was to hit the "add MPC asteroids ,Comets",then select Guide folder and click on the update file,
That got me 10 visible Comets 14 mag or below, compare to seven Comets earlier today.
I used to always manually drop the soft.txt with copy n paste (omitting a t) right into the GUIDE directory in the cache.
Then Id click on it and it would appear to update. Worked before.
Seems the program behave different at times. Or I am behaving different at times.
Like with GUIDE 8 trying to get the right version to display under "about Guide".
Was hit and miss for me if I would reinstall or add to another pc.
For now - all good with GUIDE9.1 DVD
The feature I enjoy a lot is the Moon display in the legend.
At a glance you can see the phase right in the legend (without having to drag up the windows toolbar at bottom to see Lunabar running)
Glad to have this update to 9.1 ,and the DSS/Realsky images are nice to have right there.
I was (one of those)guys that never used CD2 on GUIDE version 8.
So my input is the 9.1 DVD is very good.
Nice Job Bill.
