Download this file:

http://www.minorplanetcenter.net/iau/Ephemerides/Comets/Soft02Cmt.txt

Rename the file to soft02cm.txt

and that will allow the comets to show.

There is an automated comets download function on Guide under the EXTRAS/Comet Asteroid Options/Add MPC Comets.....

Guide will do the work for you, provided that you have all the current updates for Guide in place.

I was the guy with numerous equipment and disc issues.

I was able to get GUIDE 8 CD updated toGUIDE 9configured to show all of the Comets.

Now unable to get any of the tle.dat of soft.cmt comets to display.

I had been walked thru this before

Not sure of what I did wrong

No Comets beyonds 18 mag or so ?
