I don't know if you mean brighter or dimmer when you say "higher". With
that said, go to the display menu in Guide, select the data shown dialog
box, choose fixed, and set the limiting magnitude for each of the object
categories. This is a bit clumsy but will work.

If what you mean by higher is fainter than a given magnitude then I think
that the answer is "no"
