Actually, the name is soft02cmt.txt on web download but guide renames the file without the "t".

When you click on the Guide link, it call for 2 files to be downloaded, the one above and "eltdat.txt" form french site.

Right now the server is not answering which causes Guide to continuously try to access.
Their ftp is up but not main site.

the soft02cmt.txt will download but not the other. Guide uses both, one for the current updated comets and the other for older elements, finally guide uses the data for the install for very old ones.

I am not sure why you are running into issues on downloading comets via the Extra/Edit Asteroids and Comets option.

I have tried every time that a message has been posted of late concerning the inability to update comets.

My Guide updates perfectly and the current comets list is 130k and downloads as:

soft02cm.txt,

NOT

soft02cmt.txt
