Tom,

Selecting galaxies from the Data Shown dialog will give you all galaxies.  Selecting NGC will give you all NGC objects.  Selecting both will give you all galaxies *and* all NGC objects.  I am not sure that you can select only NGC galaxies unless there is some way hidden deep within Guide 9.0.
