if the source code would be provided, than continuing would be an option... or porting it to more modern code and languages like python which would keep the accuracies but improve the look, the handling and the speed because it would be fulling plattform independent since Linux is the main OS used in professional astronomy.
Yes, that could be done... would take some time but it could be done...
Since my new job consumes up all time I have, a team of enthusiasts has to do that. I just hardly find the time to write the code for my own little projects.
