Re: [guide-user] Asteroid 2004 BL86

Hi Alfredo,

If you put 'mpcorb.dat' in your Guide folder (not a subfolder), that
should do the trick, and asteroids will be brought up to date.

Now, as to those two "outdated links"... they are to

http://www.imcce.fr/fr/ephemerides/donnees/comets/ASCII/ELTDAT.TXT
http://www.minorplanetcenter.org/iau/Ephemerides/Comets/Soft02Cmt.txt

The former gives elements for comets from about 1995 to the present,
but it isn't updated all that regularly. The latter is right up to the
minute, but doesn't include anything except currently visible objects.
Put them together, though, and they cover all comets found since 1995,
with a little overlap. (And Guide has a list on the DVD covering everything
before then, in case somebody wonders where the Great Comet of 1811 was.)

However, both links appear to be quite current, so I think the
trouble you're seeing must be something else. (And the text you quote
comes from the current version of Guide, so that's not the problem either.)
Exactly what error message(s) are you getting when you "click to download
updated comet data and add it to Guide"?
