telescope use

I am a daily user of Guide and have been trying to use it with my LX200 because
there are some facilities for this. The program lets you drive the scope exactly
as the keypad controls do - but there is one important item missing that I think
would be easy to add: synchronisation. The encoders believe that they know
where they are - and after setting up the scope in the usual way, they do. The
problem comes when you use a CCD. The chip is usually a little off-centre, and
Guide can do a GOTO and end up a short distance away from where it should be.
You can use Guide to drive a bit and correct the error, but without the use of
the 'sync' command, every drive will end up away from where it should be.
Could we have this simple addition - ie., with Guide centred on an object and
with the scope centred on the same object, tell the scope exactly where it is
pointing? It would then allow the full use of all Guide's facilities. Focus
control would be very nice as well.... but the list goes on!
