You can obtain all the published observations of 2008 TC3 in MPEC 2008-T50  through MPEC 2008-T74.

Hi Bill

I have just downloaded the latest version of Find_Orb. It works fine and the ephemeris display is a great improvement.

I then decided to carry out some robust testing by entering selected MPC data for 2008 TC3 (the October 7, 2008 Sudan airburst):-

K08T03C 2008 10 06.00000 23 18 19.20 +07 42 57.0 19.7 C H06
K08T03C 2008 10 06.01000 23 18 22.90 +07 44 11.0 19.6 C H06
K08T03C 2008 10 06.02000 23 18 19.20 +07 45 25.0 19.5 C H06
K08T03C 2008 10 06.03000 23 18 08.40 +07 46 33.0 19.4 C H06
K08T03C 2008 10 06.04000 23 17 51.30 +07 47 31.0 19.3 C H06
K08T03C 2008 10 06.05000 23 17 29.40 +07 48 17.0 19.2 C H06
K08T03C 2008 10 06.06000 23 17 04.60 +07 48 45.0 19.1 C H06

Bearing in mind it only had about a ninety-minute arc to play with, I was very impressed to find that the software predicted an imminent impact. I have included the input data so that those interested can see for themselves what the IMPACT info looks like.

If anybody gets one of these for real, I suggest that you call it in to MPC ASAP and don't wait for a second night!

One tiny point: my display on the impact latitude lacks a North/South. Hopefully not a biggy to modify.

Thanks again Bill for all your hard work.

Cheers

Norman
